CHEMICAL PEELS
Chemical Peels are a form of exfoliation that uses acids to address issues such as skin texture, tone, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and fine lines. It promotes cell turnover and collagen production. As estheticians, we are limited to performing superficial, light to medium chemical peels. While the results aren’t as dramatic as deeper peels, a superficial peel will lift surface cells and reveal a fresher and more radiant skin tone without the downtime required to heal from a deeper peel you can get from a dermatologist.
To see optimal results, three to four peels spaced 4 weeks apart are recommended.

A chemical peel can be booked alone or added to any of our Custom Facials. Your appointment will be in our facial room. If you are having a facial, you will change into a spa wrap, if you are only having a chemical peel, you will stay in your street clothes. Your esthetician will perform a thorough skin analysis while cleansing your skin to remove any skincare products or oils. Once your skin is dry, your chemical peel will begin. The process takes about 30 minutes. Your service will conclude with a hydrating serum, moisturizer, and an SPF. You can expect a smoother, brighter, and more even-toned complexion. Some minor redness or irritation is possible, but it usually subsides quickly.

FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS

Stay hydrated. Drink 72 ounces of water.
FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS

After the first 24 hours, you can wash your face with a gentle, acid-free cleanser.

You may or may not experience slight peeling for the first few days. Slight windburn sensation and/or blotchiness are normal for the first few days. Skin care products may tingle or slightly burn.

Avoid products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, retinol, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, astringents, etc.)
FOR THE NEXT 5 DAYS

Avoid sun exposure as much as possible.

Avoid excessive heat, heavy workouts, steam rooms, saunas, etc.
FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS

Do not have any facial waxing done

Avoid physical exfoliators, polishers, aggressive brushes, picking, or itching.
FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS

No fillers or Botox in the treated area

Apply your serums as absorption levels will be elevated!!
